M Load Brings Accessibility to the São Paulo International Film Festival

The São Paulo International Film Festival is celebrating its 48th edition, and M Load makes it possible for more people to enjoy this experience without barriers.

The São Paulo Film Festival is back—and, for the third consecutive year, M Load is the event’s official accessibility app.

Committed to making cinema accessible to everyone, the festival has been paving the way since 2017 so that more people can enjoy the cinema experience. In 2025, more than 70 films will feature audio description, LIBRAS, and descriptive captions via M Load.

Here’s how it works: Before you leave home, download the app, search for the movie you want, and download the accessibility feature. Once you’re in the theater and the movie is about to start, tap “Catalog,” select the accessibility feature you downloaded, and wait for it to sync—remember to allow access to your device’s microphone so that the accessibility feature can sync with the movie, and if you’re using the audio description feature, don’t forget to bring your headphones. That’s it! The accessibility feature you selected will appear on your smartphone.

“The movie theater is a space for everyone—a place where stories come to life and people connect. For us at MAV, every accessible feature is an invitation for more people to take their seats in the theater and experience the magic of cinema as it should be: inclusive, diverse, and barrier-free,” says the MAV team.
