PLDL

Pivot Language Dialogue List (PLDL) is a list of dialogue in the original language and its English translation, including timecodes, character identifiers, markings, and translation notes. It is used to produce dialogue lists in other languages for submission to dubbing studios and for localization production.

Voice-Over

Voice-over is a voice recording that is added to content, usually in a language other than that of the audiovisual content. It is very similar to dubbing, but does not involve lip-syncing.

ABS

The broadcast script—ABS file—is a list of dialogue (script) that includes only the start timecode and character identification. The text is only broken up when there is a change in the speaker. It is usually one of the last localization files to be produced.
