Warner Bros. releases ASL version of Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire on MAX. MAV, in partnership with Deluxe, led the accessibility production project for this major release.
The inclusion of people with visual and hearing impairments in the entertainment world is an increasingly relevant topic. The production of accessible content, such as the ASL (American Sign Language) version of “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire,” represents another significant step to ensure that more people can equally enjoy movies and other forms of entertainment.
Why is accessibility so important?

By investing in resources such as Deaf talents, consultants, and state-of-the-art equipment, we ensured that the cinematic experience was complete and inclusive for Deaf people.
Unlike sign language production in Brazil and other countries, where language interpretation is done by interpreters, in the US, ASL production has additional layers. The main difference is that interpretation is always done by a Deaf talent, with script production and recording monitoring by Deaf consultants and DASL (Director of Sign Language).
Being in contact with Deaf professionals making these projects possible is the materialization of how important inclusion is.
